As an evangelical Anglican diocese we believe in, and are committed to, the great reformation truths of:
God’s Word alone. This is our ultimate authority in matters of faith.
(see 2 Timothy 3.14-17; Matthew 4.1-11; Colossians 3.16)
God’s grace alone. Our salvation comes only from God’s love and initiative.
(see John 3.16; Ephesians 2.4-10; 1 Timothy 1.15)
God’s Son (Christ) alone saves. It is only Christ’s death and resurrection that secures our forgiveness and eternal life.
(see John 14.6; Romans 1.1-6; 6.23; 1 Peter 2.24-25)
God’s salvation by faith alone. We receive God’s salvation in repentance and faith with no human effort required to be right with God.
(see Romans 1.16-17; 3.21-26)
God’s glory alone. All honour is to be given to God alone. (see Philippians 2.5-11; 1 Corinthians 15.20-28)
