Paraburdoo township was gazetted in 1972; while Anglican services begun in 1971. Through the support of the Outback Church Foundation St Philip’s was built, opening in 1988. Originally the parish was known as South Pilbara and included the towns of Paraburdoo, Tom Price and Onslow. It is now known as the Paraburdoo-Tom Price parish.
Ever since Jesus rose from the dead, his followers have been meeting together to remember and celebrate his death and resurrection. So, the things we value deeply are the good news of Jesus; God’s Word; prayer and people.
WHEN DOES OUR CONGREGATION MEET?
4.30pm: We meet each week at St Philip’s Anglican Church, Paraburdoo. As a church we are committed to the Bible and so our times of meeting together have teaching the Bible at their centre. We also provide a Sunday School for children. After the service we meet in the same building for fellowship and supper.
