Aboriginal ministry
We are reaching out to Aboriginal people in the North West with the good news of Jesus Christ and lives are being transformed.
You won’t read about this is the general media, but there are many good news stories of people coming to know Christ and turning from their old life.
Chris and Karen Webb who are CMS missionaries, are working in the Anglican Parish of Broome. They spend most of their time teaching God’s word to Aboriginal people at Broome Peoples Church. They also have opportunities to encourage Christians in some remote Aboriginal communities in the Kimberley, including at One Arm Point and through the annual Kimberley Christian Convention. Read more about his ministry here.
In Kununurra, we join with all the churches to run a combined churches youth group that reaches out to Aboriginal children who are on the streets at night. We provide a meal, some fun and the lasting hope of Jesus.
In the Pilbara at Wickham and Roebourne, our workers Matt and Naomi Warth and their team support local Aboriginal people in a range of ways.
