Bringing the good news to Dongara

We are committed to the Bible and so our times of meeting together have teaching the Bible at their centre. After the service we meet in the Church Hall for fellowship and morning tea. We’d love you to join us.

The parish of Dongara with Mingenew serves the southern end of the diocese.  Dongara is a beautiful coastal area, while the Anglican Church building is a landmark feature of the town.  The church building was designed by colonial architect Francis Bird and constructed in 1885.  The first minister in Dongara arrived in 1878.

Mingenew is a small agricultural centre about 100kms inland from Dongara.  Its church building was opened in 1908.

Our minister

Rector David Thompson

The Rev David and Mrs Emma Thompson and their two children (Reuben and Paige) joined the Dongara congregation in 2024. They were previously serving in Moree, NSW.
