Bringing the good news to Kununurra
We are a group of people of all ages who love Jesus and enjoy meeting together. We meet each Sunday and we’d love you to join us. We welcome visitors from all over Australia, especially during the dry season.
Kununurra town was officially born in 1961 as a result of the Ord River Irrigation Scheme. Anglican ministers visited the town conducting services in various locations. The first resident minister arrived in 1965, but had to live in Wyndham (an hour’s drive away) for 9 months until the rectory was completed. We are thankful for the long-term support of BCA who have contributed to the minister’s stipend since 1965.
The present St James’ church building was constructed through the work of the Outback Church Foundation and opened in 1990. A Sunday School room was added in 2008.

SUNDAYS
9.30am: We meet each week at St James’ Anglican Church. As a church we are committed to the Bible and so our times of meeting together have teaching the Bible at their centre. We also provide a Sunday School for children. After the service we meet in the same building for fellowship and morning tea.
OUR MINISTERS
Rector Daniel Faricy
Daniel is married to Rebecca with 3 children: Rachael, Jessica & Emily. They arrived in Kununurra August 2017. Previously Daniel served in Wentworth Falls Anglican Church, NSW. The family has enjoyed settling in and loves being part of the Kununurra community.
