Holy Trinity Roebourne is the oldest stone building and the oldest church in North West Australia. People have gathered here to worship for more than 125 years.
The church has recently been renovated and restored to its original unique beauty. It stands as a testament to God’s power and kindness to his people. And it’s a demonstration of human endurance in a harsh land.
Since 1883, people have gathered on this hill to worship Jesus Christ and mark life’s joys and sorrows. The original church was destroyed by cyclone and rebuilt in 1895. Thanks to the generosity of the Heritage Council of Western Australia and a small group of committed supporters, an extensive and painstaking renovation has brought the church back to life.
Holy Trinity Roebourne is one of two Anglican churches in this area, including Karratha.
As Christians, we seek to follow the Lord Jesus Christ. We are Bible-based and our fellowship includes Bible study, prayer and a program for children.
Holy Trinity Roebourne was officially reopened by Bishop Gary Nelson on 7 May 2021.
